Frankfurt Germany Temple

The Frankfurt Germany Temple

Frankfurt Germany Temple

In May 2024 I went with my son, daughter-in-law, and two grandsons to visit the Frankfurt Germany Temple. You must be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to enter the temple. The temple is located at Talstrasse 10 61381 Friedrichsdorf/TS Germany.  It was dedicated in 1987 and rededicated in 2019. There is patron housing, which costs $40 per night and provides bedding and towels if needed. Ours had 3 sets of bunk beds, a table, and chairs in one room, and a bathroom with a separate toilet. The housing is located on the temple complex and is only minutes from the entrance to the temple. My favorite thing about this temple is the stained-glass windows. We weren't there at night, but we suspect that the light shining through the stained glass in the evening is very beautiful. We did initiatories when we were there. They did have some workers who are English speakers. All of the workers were very kind to us. One interesting thing about this temple that sets it apart from any others I've ever seen is that the spire with Moroni is detached from the building of the temple. There is a small visitor center with a small Christus in it, as well as videos that people can watch. Downstairs in patron housing is a very large kitchen and eating area, as well as a toy area for kids.
