England Road Trip

England Road Trip

In November of 2024 we took a circular road trip around England.  We rented a car through Turo and began at St. Pancras train station in London.  At the end of the week we ended at the train station also!  Here is the route of our trip:

We drove to Nottingham and enjoyed the town before sleeping in an Airbnb next to Sherwood Forest:  Byron's Lodge

Our route the third day - 105 miles, a total of 2 and a half hours of driving

Day Four: Manchester to Gloucester to Avebury Circle to Stonehenge to Dorset

Day four involved the most driving, a total of 251 miles and 5 1/2 hours of driving

Route for Day Five: Durdle Door to Kent, a total of 208 miles, with nearly 5 hours of driving

We stayed that night at an Airbnb that is no longer operating.

Day Six:  Whiteness Arch, White Cliffs of Dover, and back to London

Our route for day six -- 2 and a half hours of driving and 103 miles

After visiting the sites in Kent, we drove back to the St Pancras train station and made a stop across the street at King's Cross Station so that we could see Platform 9 3/4 from Harry Potter.  Then we hopped back on the train to ride the Chunnel back to Brussels.  It was the trip of a lifetime!
