Rialto Bridge

One of the most famous bridges in the world, the Rialto Bridge in Venice spans the Grand Canal and its current version was completed in 1591.  There are shops on the bridge, and it is always crowded with lots of people.  It was the first bridge to span the Grand Canal and had many versions beginning in 1173.  You can visit the bridge at any time of day or night, although the shops are open from 9 am to 7 pm.
