Accademia Gallery in Florence, Italy

Accademia Gallery

Perhaps the most famous site to visit in Florence, Italy is Michelangelo's David, created from 1501 to 1504.  The David is located on the ground floor of the Accademia Gallery.  The official website of the Accademia Museum is here:  Accademia Gallery  The museum is open from 8:15 a.m. to 6:50 p.m. Tickets are 16 euro.  Keep in mind that the Accademia is closed on Mondays, so plan accordingly.

The Accademia Museum is a 13 minute walk from the Uffizi Gallery.  It is a 7 minute walk from the Duomo.  Its google maps location is here:  Accademia Gallery
